U2R1‘s nostalgically inspired strategy for developing Égard’s brand identity was based on the emotional and universal connection between father and son – founders of Égard. A luxurious yet urban design was the epitome of Égard’s mission to create esteemed timepieces with the bold mission of “Defining Moments”.

Project Overview

A timepiece is above and beyond your normal product; it is a statement, a status, a culture and a memory unto itself – a piece that captures life’s moments. As a new luxury brand coming into the market, it was important for Égard to establish their sentimental identity and conception to not only stand out from the slew of other timepieces in the market, but to also communicate their message to a particular target audience.

Tapping into the story behind the brand and creating that emotional connection was key to U2R1. Working with Égard to create a refined brand blueprint and visual identity, we launched the brand on Father’s Day through a social media contest that not only captured the spirit of Égard, but also created a defining moment in the company’s history.
